Hello! My name is Suzanna Petot and I am a curator and writer currently living in London, originally from Queens, NY.
I am a Assistant Curator at the Hayward Gallery, recent exhibitions include Chiharu Shiota: Threads of Life (2026), Haegue Yang: Leap Year (2024), Naomi Rincón Gallardo: Sonnet of Vermin (Project Space, 2024), Hiroshi Sugimoto: Time Machine (2023), Strange Clay: Ceramics in Contemporary Art (2022) as well as major outdoor commissions such as Asim Waqif: Venu (2023) and Monira Al Qadiri: Devonian (2022).
I launched petz projects in 2023 in collaboration with Rabbet, which focused on providing a platform for emerging artists in London.
I am also a co-organiser of the interdisciplinary arts project Decorating Dissidence with Dr Jade French and Dr Lottie Whalen.
I have previously worked for the for the Arts Council Collection, White Cube, Gallerie delle Prigioni | Luciano Benetton Collection, Tate Modern, The Courtauld Gallery, M.I.T List Visual Arts Center and the Boston Center for the Arts.
My projects explore contemporary art and interdisciplinary practices - especially video, installation, and textile art. My research and curatorial interests lie in craft & textiles, photography, feminist art and community art practices, and the legacy of catholic guilt in contemporary art.
Outside of the art world, I enjoy football (yes, soccer), cooking and spritz campari. I am always looking for freelance projects so do contact me if you want to work together!
